When a group tells us they need more space than a typical 3-bedroom allows, Kern Rd is usually our first suggestion. It’s one of our larger homes, set in the Southbend Lakes neighborhood on the west side of Port St. Lucie, close to the newer C24 Canal boat ramp.

Why it works for bigger trips
Southbend Lakes is a well laid-out residential neighborhood, and the extra bedroom at Kern Rd makes a genuine difference for multi-generational trips or two families traveling together. The C24 Canal ramp nearby also makes this one of our better choices if boating is part of the plan — it’s larger and newer than some of the older ramps closer to the coast.
We’ve also had a few guests use the dedicated workspace to extend a trip by working remotely for a few days either side of the weekend — a nice way to stretch a Florida getaway a little further.
