Golf in Port St. Lucie — Courses, Tee Times & Tips
World-class golf on the Treasure Coast — with PGA Village right on the doorstep
Port St. Lucie is one of Florida's best-kept secrets for golfers. While Orlando and Miami get the headlines, the Treasure Coast quietly offers world-class golf, year-round sunshine, and far better value — with 17 golf courses in Port St. Lucie alone, ranging from championship resort golf to relaxed executive courses perfect for a casual morning round.
Whether you're planning a dedicated golf trip or just want to squeeze in a few rounds between beach days, our properties put you within easy reach of some of Florida's finest courses.
PGA Village — The Headline Destination
PGA Village is ranked among Golf Digest's 75 Best Golf Resorts in North America, and with good reason. It offers three championship courses — the Wanamaker and Ryder, both designed by Tom Fazio, and the Dye Course, designed by Pete Dye — all recognised on Golf Digest's Top Public Golf Courses in Florida list.
The courses wrap golfers in 430 acres of wildlife sanctuary, giving them a feel quite unlike anything else in South Florida. PGA Golf Club also includes a 6-hole Family Short Course — ideal if you have younger or newer golfers in your group. Almost 30,000 PGA Professionals from around the globe use PGA Golf Club to play and train, giving the facility a genuinely world-class atmosphere.
All three courses are public (though the Wanamaker is members-preferred outside summer months), and the practice facility is outstanding — grass driving range, chipping and sand areas, and a large putting green.
Getting there from our properties: PGA Village is roughly 10–20 minutes from most of our Port St. Lucie homes.

Legacy Golf and Tennis Club
Also within the gates of PGA Village, Legacy Golf and Tennis Club is a private club that welcomes outside visitors as members for a day. Its championship course has hosted US Open and US Senior Open qualifying rounds, and plays from 4,989 to 7,023 yards across five tee options — making it a great choice for mixed-ability groups.
The Saints Golf Club — West PSL
A well-maintained 18-hole championship public course in Sandpiper Bay on the west side of Port St. Lucie, designed by Jim Fazio. The Saints is a fantastic everyday option — great value, well run, with a fully stocked pro shop, restaurant, and pub. If you want a relaxed morning round without the prestige price tag of PGA Village, this is the one to go for. Our Bordeaux Ct and Lullaby Terrace properties are both just a short drive away.
Savanna Club Golf Course — East PSL
On the east side of Port St. Lucie, Savanna Club is an 18-hole par-61 executive course open to the public — well kept, reasonably priced (green fees include cart), and a fun challenge for all skill levels. Three sets of tees play up to 3,792 yards. It's a great option if you want a quick round close to the east side properties without the drive across town. Mariana Rd, Mariposa Avenue, Snapper, and Lullaby Terrace are all within easy reach.
St. Lucie Trail Golf Club — West PSL
A popular public course on the west side of Port St. Lucie — well regarded locally and good value, particularly after 1pm when afternoon rates drop significantly. A solid choice for a second or third round of the trip when you want something more affordable.
Eagle Marsh Golf Club
A well-regarded course in the area that offers a quality round in scenic surroundings. Worth checking for availability if PGA Village is fully booked during peak season.
Further Afield — Worth the Drive
Fairwinds Golf Course (Fort Pierce) — Designed by Jim Fazio, this championship layout winds through undisturbed natural Florida flora and fauna, with rolling fairways, lakes, and well-bunkered greens. Six sets of tees playing up to 6,800 yards. About 20 minutes north.
Hammock Creek Golf Club (Stuart) — A scenic course about 20 minutes south, well regarded for its condition and design. Good option for a day trip.
The Champions Club (Stuart) — Semi-private, excellent condition, a step up in prestige from the everyday options.
Tips for Golfing in Port St. Lucie
Best time to play: October through April is peak season — cooler temperatures, lower humidity, and firm fast conditions. Summer (July–September) is hot and humid but offers significantly lower green fees, often under $50 even at PGA Village.
Travelling with clubs: PGA Village has a full rental fleet if you prefer not to travel with your own. The pro shop is well stocked with equipment and apparel.
Non-golfers in the group: This is one of Port St. Lucie's great strengths — Jensen Beach Park is 15 minutes away, the Botanical Gardens are nearby, and there's good dining on US1, so a golfing trip works well for mixed groups.
Book ahead for winter: January through March fills up fast at PGA Village, particularly the Dye and Wanamaker courses. Book tee times as early as possible if you're coming in high season. East side courses like Savanna Club are generally easier to get on at short notice.
