The weather in Port St Lucie is fabulous, the summer months are warm and gorgeous with mainly sunny days but often with some scattered clouds too to break things up a little. The overnight temperatures are generally around the mid 70’sF or mid 20’s for those who prefer to work in centigrade and upper 80’s to mid 90’s during the day (that’s around the low to mid 30’s for the centigraders).
Summer months do bring regular showers most days, these serve to freshen things up a little and normally happen in the afternoon if at all, this is true for most of Florida and is a welcome break too. Winter temperatures are what Floridians call cooler, many others just say less warm with Decembers temps during the day reaching mid 20’s and night times around the upper teens being quite average.
Days at the beach are brilliant, especially in the summer months, a morning walk is fantastic as the sun comes up, flip flops and shorts are the order of the day as it will already be in the mid 70’s / 20’s at sunrise and the warmth soon kicks in, Sea temps are very stable too, 83 – 85 being normal in the summer and only dropping to around 73 in the winter.
Winter Months are a little more temperate, and it is also the dry(er) season. This is when the snowbirds arrive, fleeing the snows of the Upper States, US, Canada and northern Europe as the weather there turns decidedly less than temperate.
To give you an example and pick a famous Winter day, Christmas Day 2014, Day max 73, min night 57 (that’s 23 and 13 for the centigraders again). so it is definately viable to spend some of your days outside in the winter months in Florida.
